Whole dried Kashmiri Red chillies (sabut/khadi sukhi lal mirchi) also famous as Kashmiri lal mirch is a best ingredient to flavour the Indian recipes. Kashmiri Chilli is often confused with Byadgi Chilli grown in Karnataka as both Kashmiri Chillies and Byadgi chillies are relatively milder than other types of chillies. However, Kashmiri Red Chilli is most sought after the world over for its pungency and mild spicy flavor. Also, Byadgi chillies are shrivelled, pointed and deep red, whereas chillies actually grown in Kashmir are quite broad, bright red and a lot more pungent.
